ABSTRACT
In this study, it is aimed to determine the problems of young adult female working in textile and ready-made garment workshops about their work life and to reveal how these problems are interpreted through the experiences of the employees. Qualitative research method was used in the study and in-depth interviews were conducted with 18 participants between 18-27 years of age living in Istanbul and Bursa and working in workshops using semi-structured interview form. The findings were classified by coding method and main themes were determined. The data obtained during the study showed that the problems experienced by young women were mostly shaped around psychosocial problems, working conditions and physical environment problems and the relational problems between employees. In addition, it was determined that young female workers had problems with their superior-subordinate relationship, physical and sexual harassment and labor-wage balance. Most of the participants stated that despite the negative working conditions in the textile and ready-made sectors, they had to work in these sectors both because of poverty and because they were uneducated and unqualified. The participants were found to be physically, mentally and socially affected by their problems. For the same reasons, it was observed that job motivations and job satisfaction were low
