ABSTRACT

In the last 20 years, the number of academicians who live and work throughout the country has been increasing as a result of establishment of universities in every cities and some university units in every town. Within this context, the significant part of this group of people is composed of women. In respect to the places both for living and working, it is clear that the current conditions is appeared as some fundamental problems for female academicians who live and work in the periphery. In this work, it is aimed to illustrate the atmosphere, circumstances, in where they are living and working, via the answers to the questions asked to the female academicians who are working at the universities designated as the provincial universities and living in the periphery in the various regions all across the country. Moreover, this work is not only an academic-scientific study but also it has an aspect to highlight the life of the female academicians who currently live and work under the periphery conditions
