ABSTRACT
Turkey is one of the world’s leading countries with large agricultural economy. The contribution of human labor is fairly great at this point. But in Turkey, despite the growth of the agricultural economy, there has been no change in the value given to human labor. The social rights of casual agricultural workers, providing a major contribution to the agricultural economy, have been continuously ignored. Today, casual agricultural workers are the ones who represent the case of the social “deprotection” and “social exclusion” They have been the most disadvantaged groups of working life in Turkey. In this study, regulations in Turkish social security legal system have been discussed. Unfortunately, legislations have been unsuccesful to provide social security for casual worker. The de factual situation in Turkey is quite far from the legal regulations.
