ABSTRACT
Music is an art branch that which the working class’s problems has always been the issue of it throughout the history of capitalism. Rock is a music genre like blues and tango that it’s oppositional attitude is more powerful than the others. In this music genre which has been termed with the name of “rock’n roll” during the 1950’s, mostly an entertainment-oriented approach embraced at the beginning. However, after a series of development since the beginning of 1960’s, oppositional attitude has raised in rock’n roll and this denotation give way to rock music. Anatolian Pop is a genuine flow that which it has emerged at rock music line during this process. Cem Karaca is the one of the most powerful names of Anatolian Pop. Cem Karaca’s songs after the second half of 1970’s focus on the proletarianization process experienced in metropolis and the problems which developed with this process. Mentioned studies also represents a musical exertion to involve and surpass Anatolian Pop and verge to progressive rock.
