ABSTRACT
This work distinguishes the differences in youth employment regionally. To particularly reveal the inequalities and to emphasize the regional differences it opens up a discussion in Istanbul and in the 19 cities comprised by the Middle Eastern and South Eastern Antolian regions between 2012-16. The comparison of Istanbul as a city within a developed economy with other regions present a striking data based on gender and ethnicity. While in Istanbul as a develeoped economy the Turkish people prefer continuing with higher education and non-Turkish ones start working at an earlier age, the other regions provide data with contrary results. The comparison in terms of gender, marital status, ethnic origin and economic activity in these four years reveals also a striking profile of the young labour force
