ABSTRACT
LEIR, which has a nearly 90 years of tradition and 36 years experience in Turkey, part of the main actors in our country has undertaken the task of social policy is undoubtedly teachings. The departmant has played an important role in shaping the country bureaucracy as well as academic contributions to collectiveism. However, the departmans, which is the guarantor of human-focused viewpoint, faces a number of problems today. Problems such as economic developments in recent years, new orientations in the markets, narrowing of departments from social policy line in academic sense, shift from social policy line in academic terms, lack of professionalism in department are weak in the sense of other disciplines; departmental graduates’ employment opportunities are narrowed and departmental is under the influence of other social sciences causes. The aim of the study is to restore the effectiveness and efficiency of the department as a result of the research. Within the scope of the study, first of all a short history of the departmant was given and then a comprehensive current situation analysis was carried out to diagnose the problems. The identified problems have been classified and solution proposals have been developed. As a result of the study, it was determined that the LEIR departments faced many academic and technical problems and tried to clarify the future opportunities and threats of the department
