ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to reveal the trade union perception of subcontractor workers in public sector. Accordingly, the relation among age range, gender, education, trade union membership with general union attitude and perceptions of union power and service are investigated. For the analysis of data, frequency distribution, reliability analysis, t-test and ANOVA were applied. While the average of general union attitude of the participants is 3,23±0,55, the average of perceptions of union power and service is 2,65±0,67. There was no significant relation between gender, education, and trade union membership with general union attitudes and perceptions of union power and service statistically. However, there was a significant relation between age, general union attitudes and perceptions of union power and service. As the age increases, general union attitude, perceptions of union power and service change negatively. By this study, it is aimed to guide the trade unions to develop new organizing strategies while indicating the trade union perceptions of subcontractor workers that constitute the big part of labor force in public sector.
