ABSTRACT
One of the issues that attracts attention worldwide and needs to be focused on is the personal protective equipment PPE . PPE has to be used by all employees regardless of the sector. Unfortunately, PPE is still at the bottom of the risk prevention / reduction hierarchy and have not gained the deserved importance. Studies show that PPE is currently among the “10 neglected occupational safety concerns”. In this study, a questionnaire built up with 27 questions was applied in order to obtain the perspectives of occupational safety experts. It was aimed to evaluate the use of PPE and the importance given to the correct use of PPE in companies where occupational safety experts provide expertise. 82 occupational safety experts contributed to the study. The findings of the study are expected to raise awareness on the issue by addressing the correct use and importance of PPE, which has an important role in reducing the frequency and severity of accidents, and to shed light on the current situation to some extent with the help of fieldwork
