ABSTRACT

Stigmatization and discrimination are the two important concepts that negatively affect people who have to live with HIV/AIDS. Workplaces are one of the many places where people who live with HIV/AIDS meet with stigmatization and discrimination which are felt by them not only in some specific places, but also in every stage and field of their lives. One of the most important resources of income by which individuals continue their lives both biologically and socially and recreate themselves is gainful occupation. But professional lives of individuals, who have HIV/AIDS which is a chronic health problem, are prevented through stigmatization and discrimination. This prevention also affects health of these individuals negatively. In this study, the questions of in what way the stigmatization and discrimination of individuals with HIV/AIDS emerge, and what kind of effects they have on these individuals, will be analyzed.
