ABSTRACT
Transportation is a ancient and vital action for world and the daily life of humanity. The concept that has become a sector in itself with the technological developments that emerged with the need to move people or goods from one place to another, has become a social and economic development tool for the countries and their citizens. In transportation sectors, especially in passenger transportation, the most preferred system in our country is bus transportation by road. However, the sector is facing a number of problems due to the working conditions of the employees and the various problems facing the sector. In the view of the mentioned problems, interviews were made with drivers in the sector and a current situation analysis was conducted for the employees in the light of these interviews. As a result of the interviews, the accommodation problems of the drivers, work-life balances, occupational diseases, wage-subsistence receivables, organization and representation and social security situations, the need of the sector, the competitive pressure factor in the sector, the view of employers on occupational health and safety and social security expenditures, many issues such as the factors that determine the wages of employees have been shed light on and the solution / policy recommendations for these problems have been developed. As a result of the study, it has been revealed that the drivers working in the sector should support the public authorities and others to improve their working conditions
