ABSTRACT
Trade unions are solidarity and struggle organizations for defending the rights of workers. Sometimes this solidarity and struggle requires cooperation with other trade unions. To achieve this, the trade unions come together and establish a higher organisation; federation or confederation. Thus they express their wishes as a more powerful massive force. Sometimes, however, trade unions contrary and conflict with these confederations which they have established. In some cases, these conflicts cause trade unions to withdraw from the membership of confederation. In this study, reasons of changing confederation of trade unions that withdraw from the membership of confederation and pass to another confederation, will be examined. For this aim, firstly, the examples in our unionisation history will be reviewed and finally, the trade unionconfederation relationship will be discussed over the process of changing the confederation of the Liman-Is Union
