An Interpretatıon Of The “Modern Tımes” Fılm And Perıodıcal Labor Relatıons The interpretation of the text and context is one of qualitative research methods in the social sciences despite not often used. In such studies, audio-visual materials are also used as well as texts material. Using films is not a new method for interpreting of the meaning. However, it is not very common such analysis in Turkish literature. In this study, working environment in the industry was analyzed through the film as a part of the economic and social life in the 1930s. The period has been interpreted through Charlie Chaplin’s “Modern Times” film 1936 . Chaplin’s this film has been selected, for it was seen one of the best film reflecting the period by the critics.
